My 2004 660/12 blew away a friend's 1993 360/12 when we compared both side by side with the same Fender Amp. The 660/12 had chime, jangle, clarity - the classic sound. The 360/12 sounded dull by comparison. Made me very happy. Him, not so much!

Well I think you get far more sustain from a 660/6 & 660/12 and with the vintage toasters more jingle jangle if you want it. The toasters are far superior to the hi gains. I have a 2009 330/6 and a 2008 660/6 and have just bought a new 660/12. And I previously had a 660/12 TP which I sold 3 years ago. They are all great guitars.

I would consider having a 660-12 in addition to my 330-12. Having tried the 660-12, I can verify that the neck is wider, and it is easier to execute certain chord shapes. _________ vintage guitars

Hi everyone I am in the UK and bought a used 2011 660/6 on eBay over here and it is my favourite guitar. I just love the neck width. So in 2019 I tried to buy a new 660/12 over here but I only found one and the two halves of the body were a poor match so I turned to the USA and found a new one on Reverb at Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco. I bought it online and had it delivered to my son in Dallas which I later collected when I next went out there. It is great sounding and easy to play and I put it through a Janglebox with my Fender Blues Junior. The wider neck width suits me as my acoustics have the same neck width. I have no complaints at all. It was made late in 2018 but I was advised in early 2019 when I was looking for one that Rickenbacker do the different models in runs and there were going to be none made for over a year ! Anyone know different ?

I have a 2019 660/12 and it jangles plenty for me. I bought it new from San Francisco and brought it back to the UK. I put it through a Janglebox and it sounds ear piercing great and that's with stock Ric strings.
