I inherited an M-30 amp, originally built in 1973, that is missing it's top handle. I assume the original was leather but cannot confirm. The connectors have some hard substance in them, like epoxy, not the leather ends I expected. This could have been an earlier attempt at restoration.
Is a replacement handle available, or should I just get a piece of leather to fit?
Also, the front grill has a tear. Is that available somewhere?
Plus, I might want to restore/recover the body. Suggestions?
Thanks in advance. This amp and the accompanying 1961 365 Capri guitar hold a lot of fond memories for me. I was allowed to play them as a teenager by my step-father who bought them new when he was a professional musician. How I got away with that I don't know, must have done something right.
