Can anybody tell me if the 660-12 is still being produced. I've gotten conflicting answers from several authorized Ric dealers.

The 660, both 6 & 12 string versions are still being produced as far as I know. I've seen where the 620 is being tossed around in speculation.

Thanks, I spoke to Willies American Guitars in St. Paul, where I got my last one. Doug sent me an email saying that all 660 models were out of production and he couldn't get anymore. I saw an ad for Andy Babiuks Fab gear and called and he pre-ordered me one. I waited 13 months for my last 660-12, I just didn't want to wait another year and have Ric send the dealer a refund because they're out of production. I'm like a little kid on Christmas Eve. Thanks again, let me know if anybody hears of the 2020 660-12s starting to arrive in stores. I just noticed Willies has a 660 in stock now.

Say it ain't so! Lent my 660-12 to our guitar player for six months and he's been searching high and low for one of his own.

I'm starting to wonder myself about the 660/12. Haven't seen it at all in any new stock listings in quite awhile.

I have a 660/12 MG which I bought online two years ago from Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco and then brought it home to the UK. Prior to buying it I searched high and low to buy one and then saw the brand new one I bought on Reverb. What I discovered was that Rickenbacker as I understand it only make 660s at certain times which could run into a gap of two years or more before they are made again depending on demand. Luckily my son lives in Texas so I had it delivered to him and collected it later in the year when visiting. It's nice to know when it's time to sell there should be some interest. It's mint.

I called Rickenbacker yesterday. They are putting the 660-12 on hold for about two years!
