Been surfing the net and I'm under the impression the 4004 models are
being discontinued. Any truth in this rumor ??

Not a rumor. RIC discontinued the 4004 models about two years ago.

I'm pretty sure I saw a run early spring/late on Guitar Center and Musicians Friend. I was too slow to nab one.

I wonder what the street price of a used 4004 in Southern Texas is? Especially when you are half-way between and South by Southwest from Austin to the Monterrey Jazz and Pop Festivals?
