I bought a super pristine (2008)Jetglo Blue 660/12 string. It had a slight buzz in the high E strings so I took it to my luthier (who had worked wonders with my Martin). He tried to kill my guitar.
First he broke the truss rods. then he gouged the neck (I assume with some kind of vice). He even gouged the area around the Rickenbacker truss rod cover. He then proceeded to scratch up the back. There wasn't a mark on this guitar when I bought it. It looked like it had never been played.
I can't find anybody who will fix (refinish) my guitar. I live in the north Atlanta Ga area.
Anybody got any suggestions

thanks
phord

I would recommend Paul W., known as "Jingle Jangle" on this forum. He's not in the SE area, though. He's in California. But I'm sure he could repair your guitar and make it look new again. He was the person building Rickenbacker acoustic guitars. His workshop is called Studio California, and you can find it on Facebook.

By the way, there are lots of repair techs or luthiers who DON'T know how to work on Rickenbackers. Breaking the truss rods or popping off the fretboard are unfortunately common with these repairers.

Here's his website

Larry Davis of Davis Guitar Works is in Florida. You can Google his website. He's refinished a couple of mine. Very happy with the work. And he knows Rickenbackers.

Just to be clear, he is the builder that was licensed for a limited time to build a few more acoustic guitars after we decided to close down our own acoustic shop.
