I'm considering putting Flatwound strings on my 4004L and I'm looking for a set that's low tension and the same or similar gauge string as the stock Rickenbacker 45,55,75,105 set.....Any suggestions ?

I use Thomastik Infeld Nickel Flatwound Bass JF34434 on my 4004L. Nice deep tone.

I have TI Jazz Flats (JF344 in my case ) on my Snowglo 4004L, they bring out lots of great '60s Rick tones from the bass, are nice and low in tension and have a great feel to them. In my hands as I write this is a 5 string fretless bass with the same strings (JF345) on it.

Uh, yes it does! Okay, the bass was sitting on my lap while I typed. Better?

So, is your keyboard QWERTY or BEADG?

I also use the TI JF344 flats and love 'em on my 4001C64!! Pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for here!!
