Hello everyone I am new to the forum and am in need of a little bit of advice. Here is my situation recently my shop where I had ben jamming with my band got flash flooded with about 3 ft water and unfortunately my bass (which was in its case thankfully so it didn't get muddy) went completely under granted not for very long maybe 20 min tops before the water receded and I got to it probably within a hour after that and I immediately cut the strings off and completely gutted all the electronics out of it dried everything off with towels and stuck it in a room with a dehumidifier. Everything made it through ok the only issues are it caused the neck where the wood is glued together to swell creating a bit of a ledge in a couple areas which I've circled in the pictures but it is very hard to see. Of course ideally I would like to try and save the original finish but I know that may not be possibly as some reshaping of the neck may be in order and I really am more concerned in doing what is in the best interest of the instrument as I inherited it from my father and it has more sentimental value than anything . So my question is does anyone know of a really good luthier that specializes in Ricks and could take a look at it. All help is greatly appreciated thanks guys.
