Post subject:  refinishing jetglo blue conversion varnish

I recently had a local Atlanta luthier work on mu 2008 660/12 string. He murdered the finish. He gouged the neck (I assume where he placed it in a vice) and put numerous scratches in the body. This guitar was mint when I took it to him. It looked like it had never been played.
Anyway, I now have the dilemma of having the guitar refinished, and can't seem to find anybody in the Atlanta area willing (or at the very least knowledgeable) to repair my baby.
I there a trick to removing conversion varnish? Can anybody recommend a shop that does refinishing worthy of a Rickenbacker?

Thanks
Phord

this is the second time I've tried to post this. Am I doing something wrong?
