The subject line says it all: does the CS have a nitrocellulose lacquer finish, or is it some other process? Showing my ignorance, I'm sure. I wonder because I'd like to know how future finish repairs should be handled. I once refinished a 4001S in Reranch.com spray Fender vintage cream nitro lacquer (the aerosol can type) followed by their nitro clear coat and it looked great. I sold it to Simon Mole in about 2002, but that's extraneous info. Bottom line: would that product (a nitrocellulose colored lacquer ) be similar to what RIC put on the 4001CS?

The clear coat is "Conversion Varnish" which is a two-part catalyzing polyurethane...
