Hey all!
any bassists into progressive rock out there in the L.A. area? I need a Ric playing guy for a really cool band, L.A. underscore. Our last gig was at the Cal Prog-fest, and our new album features Jerry Goodman's violin (Dregs) David Ragsdale's violin (Kansas) and Ryo Okumoto Hammond & Mellotron (Spock's Beard) I am the band's Drummer/Producer, and accually own my own 4003! I don't play bass, but I love the tone so much, that I bought one to use in the studio. Let me know.We are going for that Squire/Meros sound.

You should have asked that question 15 years ago! I used to live in L.A. back in the '80s and moved back to Ohio in 1990. Check out my current band Rare Blend.

These days I have gone for a more rounded tone for the music we do, but I still love the classic tones you crave.

With a lineup like those musicians and the gigs one could move.... Life is about taking chances.

I would be gald to come to L.A., been playing prog since the early 70's. But I dont think you would want a middle age bass player, but who knows. Spock B. is one of my fav. bands along with Marillion, Fish, P tree, Yes, UK, Steve Hillage, King C, Be bop Deluxe, etc. Just send the airline ticket or email me at Mgrendel2@aol.com. Hey I may be 47 yrs young but I can still rock and roll.

Hey Gregg we are in Georgia, I see you are going thru the same crap I have all my life. " Hey Guys listen to this new band called spock"s beard, Its Cool". " I dont see no rebel flag, cant be that cool, Lets Play,Gimme Back My Bullet". Some Ol Stuff, just a new generation. I would give my left *** for some good prog people where i live, but nooooooooooo. :( kept the faith. mitch.
