What’s up with this? 4003 basses are not like this, their necks are inline, but every C64 bass or C64S the necks lean forward making it really hard to to get low action as the bridges need to be slammed. For example... if you put a C64 body flat on a table, you will notice the neck doesn’t run parallel to the table it’s like a slope going up towards the headstock, even with a dead straight neck. It’s clearly visible to the eye. And everyone I’ve seen is like it, Unlike 4003 basses. Seems so strange and make strong height an issue. Almost pointless having an adjustable bridge because they all have to be slammed and saddles filed. |

Does this bass have the neck pickup right against the neck? I read on Ric forums where people said that if the pickup is placed right up against the neck the pickup route doesn't support the neck enough because the wood is removed there. I think someone wrote that they pulled the neck back, filled the route with maple block, then routed a new pup pocket a la 4003 and off he went. |
