Hi guys,

In the Rickenbacker manual it is said that the best humidity level for Ricks is 35% - 40%.
This is lower than Fender advises as they say 45% - 55%.

Why is there a difference?
(I store both makes in the same room.....what is the best level to keep?)

I wouldn't worry too much about it, as long as the temp/humidity stays somewhat constant, and any change of either should be as slowly as possible. Just avoid extremes.

Mr. Hall has said that the Rick factory is kept at 38%. That's in Southern California, but Fender guitars could have been made in a desert or a jungle or both places.

My house is 40% in the winter and 60% in the summer at the same temperature. This requires a very small adjustment of the truss rods twice a year, but often it's hardly noticeable and not worth the bother.
