Post subject:  OK to hang 4003 by neck on wall hanger?

Sure would be better than dragging that heavy case outta the crowded closet every day like I have been doing since we moved into our new place (nowhere to keep the case out in the open that looks nice).
I love my 4003 but don't want to mess up the neck if bad to hang from wall all the time.

There should be no issue with hanging a Rickenbacker on the wall. The only concern is the type of rubber material that touches the finish. From what I understand, anything with silicone is bad, and hangers that use surgical tubing are good.

Do a 'search' on this forum to find discussions about appropriate guitar stands and hangers.

One thing to be aware of is if you live on a coast - the salt air will corrode your instrument's metal parts - I speak from experience on this, just to give you a warning, if applicable. Needless to say, I don't hang my RICs on the wall anymore.

I hung it on my String Thing wall hanger. They claim it is safe for the finish.
