I just purchased one off of Ebay. Just wondering who here knows the history of this bass? How was it distributed? Who was it available to? I thnk I saw an 8 string once, were there five stringers too? Were these part of the edition of 125?

Inquiring minds would like to know.

I saw this bass, I gald you got it, their are pictures of the redneck under the gallery tab. As far as history goes, someone at RIC will need to answer your ?'s. If I had the money, I would own that bass. It just wasnt in my cards. It is a pretty bass. Peace.

When I saw the title to this thread, I half way expected to see a picture of me playing my 4003 in it somewhere. 8^)

I remember John Hall speaking about it at the SoCal confluence. I believe he said the inspiration for the Redneck came from a sportscar that the son of Mr. Schaller had. It was all red with some black trim and was the car that he was eventually killed in.

OK, so that's interesting, the inspiration of it. Still curious how someone was able to order it. Was it sold at GC? Through a catalogue?
