I just purchased my first Ric. Have wanted one since seeing Geddy Lee when I was about 15 years old. I'm now 53. I purchased a mint and I mean mint 2003. It doesn't have a single scratch or indent in the guitar at all. Just need to remove the bridge pup cover and can't wait to try it at practice tonight.

Thanks..., got to play it last night for practice. Love the sound. The neck fretboard is a bit wider than my current bass (Cort C4H) and I have small hands so that will take a bit to get used to. Also found the edges of the fretboard were kind of sharp, would be nice if they were a bit more rounded. Guitar feels good though and plays great.

This is part of the acclimatization process. The wood on the fingerboard has dried out to match your region and the fret edges are now overhanging. You or your dealer can easily dress these down. Unless you go to even a drier climate, you should never have to do this again.
