Could we know which colors the 4003S will come in? A midnight blue 4003S would do it for me! :o :o :o

I believe it will be available in all standard colors. Right, Ben?

All standard colors including walnut. Read that somewhere.

"This design was once exclusive to the British distributor Rose Morris in the six-ties."

Hmmm, well that's not strictly true is it? The RM1999 had toaster and horseshoe pickups, and the neck pickup was 1/4" from the fretboard edge instead of 1/2" here.

Well, it was best-known as being the "export" model that went to Rose Morris, but I don't think they can say "exclusive." At the same time, the thing we call the "S Model" was seldom (never?) even listed on Rickenbacker price sheets back then. In house, it was known as the "4000 + 1" as it was basically a then-standard 4000 with a second pickup (and controls) added. Surely, most of them were exported to Rose Morris, but not all. For example, the most famous of all, Paul McCartney's bass, was never sent to Rose Morris. It was given to PM (twice in fact) here in the U.S.

No. The 4003S was first introduced in 1982 (possibly earlier) and was made through 1996.
