I haven't thought much about those 4002 bodies lately, given the guitars for the UK and the Rubies, but I'll come up with something in the near future.

To make a 4002 re-issue simply use 4004 pickups ... And Pickguardian can make the pickguards. And use you new fretboards.

I think an updated hybrid version of a 4002 crossed with 4004Cii would be pretty cool. I don't need a pickguard!

I got an old one piece Cii (four string) neck with five tuner holes and a maple fretboard sitting around. Has to be an opaque color though.

It would be a waste of that beautiful 4002 birdseye to cover it with paint. How about masking it and painting the neck, but leave the wings clear?

I actually wouldn't use one of the 4002 bodies on it. Maybe make something else a little more creative for the body (when I have time!).

I wouldn't care if it was a trans or solid finish. A teardrop shaped pickguard (like on the experimental '67 4001S) would be an exception that would go nicely on a solid finish.

Aw come on, you KNOW you'd only like it if it was Jetglo!
