okay, so i got my first rickenbacker about a month ago (650 Dakota) and it came with flatwound strings on it, i had never used flat wounds before and it took a little getting use to, however i fell in love with them. I recent replaced the strings with some crappy yamaha round wounds i had lying around the house, i cant stand the new strings!! i was wondering if anyone out there knew what kind of string originaly came on my ric or if anyone had suggestions as to what type of flat wound strings i should purches that would be close to the originals, thanks!

Chad

Well, the original strings would have been roundwound Ric 10s... so someone changed them on ya... let me guess the guitar came from Musician's Friend, right?

Personally, and I guess this is a general consensus around here, Thomastik Infeld flats are the ones to use.
