Hi there,

I recently bought a rather beautiful 360/6 JG, and its absolutely fantastic. I have a few questions about the Rick-o-Sound kit that you can buy on this site. First off I was wondering what it was, is it basically a compressor or is it to switch the output sound between mono and stereo? Is there a reason why it comes with two wires or is the second just a spare? Finally will the shop deliver to the UK, and if not where else could I buy one because I've never seen them in a guitar store over here?

Sorry if this has been asked before, I searched around the forum but didn't see any threads that looked like they might answer this and I couldn't really find an explanation in the shop.

Read your Owners Manual! Or, if you don't have one, click on the "Service" tab above and download one. It gives a pretty good description of what the Rick-O-Sound does.

A decent splitter cable will do the trick nicely

Let's add a bit to this description. It must be a stereo Y, not just a basic Y-splitter, and it must be shielded, not a headphone cable, for instance. "Decent" means quality cable, i.e. at least braided shield and low capacitance.

You can buy these many places or make your own. You can even try one of the cheap Radio Shack cables to see if you can really utilize the effect before you spend the money on a quality cable but remember that the cheap cable will be noisy and cut some highs.

You can buy one at this site for 75.00 dollars and its well worth it. It also comes with a spare cable that that would sell in music stores for 49.00 dollars. I purchased one a few weeks back and love it. Great quality for the money. Just go to accessories and there it is. Good luck !
