I bought a '94 325v59 lefty 2 weeks ago. Hadn't been played by its owner/collector for years (if at all) and had 10s on that fell out of tune instantly. I changed to 13s and played a few times...(Beatles tunes only. Sad?) Amazing how it came back to life and stayed tuned.
Now my only problem is finding how to hold it comfortably when playing sitting down. I'm not tall, but it's so short! However, I shall perservere...

Many right handed players place the guitar's waist on their right leg when playing sitting down. If this is how you play, try placing the guitar's waist on your left leg (so that the lower bout is centered in your lap. This effectively extends the 325's short neck further away from you, making it easier and more comfortable to play.

That's a good tip, thanks. Looking at early pics of JL with the Beatles, it appears he kept his Ric strapped high and right to my eye--possibly for the same reason?

And good news....Gary told me I'm up to 6 on the wait list (from an starting point of 19 in Fall '06) for my c67!

If you take a look at the Lennon w/325 pix in the Smith book (pages 70 and 74), you'll see conflicting hold positions.

On page 70 (seated) he's got it strapped high, but shifted seriously to his right. On page 74 (standing) again he's strapping high, but he seems to be holding it a bit to the left of his center.

But, if you take careful notice of the page 74 pic, you'll see the 325 is in its early stage as it hadn't been painted black yet.

Maybe since the 325 was still new to him at this point, he was having trouble adjusting to the shorter scale.

well ladies and gents of the 325 club, I finally got my 325c64! came in from new york this morning, still pretty jet lagged but can't put it down! compared to my c58 it seems to have a bit more punch in the pickups!

Had it delivered to the hotel from gary at NCM and it was packed so good I didnt wanna take it out till I got home, so for 4 days it just sat there, begging to be opened! pulled it out and it plays like a dream, gary sorts all his guitars so they dont suffer from the buzzing problem with the roller bridge when plugged in. the low E buzzes a bit when played acoustically but who plays acoustically at a gig anyway? even without an amp it still isnt that noticable, and i think relegates my c58 to backup duty

I just want to echo how great it was to deal with Gary at NCM. I was a little worried waiting for my 325C64 and reading about all the buzzing problems that others were experiencing with theirs. Before mine arrived Gary emailed me and explained the steps he had taken to fix this inherent problem with the roller bridges. Mine arrived 2 days later, double packed and with a killer set up at no extra charge. Without a doubt the best guitar buying experience I have ever had.

I'm thrilled with my 325C64 JG and it far exceeded my expectations which were enormously lofty to begin with.

Yes, I will give my new guitar a chance. I have already ordered a standard bridge and a trapeze tailpiece for it and I will also change the wiring. With these modifications it will become a lot more usable for me. Somehow I am turning the whole idea behind the C-series upside down with these modifications, but these changes will not be irreversible, so I think I should try that.
