Howdy,

For the sake of starting a guitar topic, let's try this: What amp(s) are your favorite for your 6-string Rickenbacker?
I like my '68 Vibro-Champ for raunch (getting my Ya-Ya's out!) and my '65 Princeton for smoother tones. Both sound great with my MG 360-6. AlNiCO speakers give that smoooth break up; great for "Born to be Wild", "Born on the Bayou" or "Get Off My Cloud". What about YOU?
The Princeton (such a mild-mannered amp) is also good for low-volume, clean Beatles sounds..

My top five would be:

1) One particular Vox AC15 from 1960. Barring that...
2) Vox AC30
3) Vox AC30
4) Vox Valvetronix
5) Vox AC30

I use dual-amp setups

1) Victoria 80212 and 45410
2) Fender The Twin and Princeton
Then I have a Fender Power Chorus and Vibro Champ that I use sometimes.

AC30s, JC120s and Lonestar Specials are all great amps too.

If I can get my hands on one, those Vero amps appear to be good too.

I use either a 73 Fender Deluxe Reverb or a 04 Traynor YCV20WR.

Traynor Bassmaster sounds fantastic nice big sound with the inputs bridged, more balls than a Fender Bassman.

If you've never tried a Soldano I highly recomend it. Ricks sound great through modern amps as well as vintage. I happen to like my Reverb-O-Sonic, with it's foot and a half long tube buffered reverb pan, better than any amp I've ever tried.

The two which I've settled on are the Roland JC120 and my little class A tube Traynor (beat the pants off Orange, Vox, and Fender 15W - 20W amps).

I've yet to plug my Rics into a Vibrolux.
Might be nice through a Vibroking too...
