I've seen stuff about next purchases and the like, so if there is another thread like this, please direct me to it and I'll get rid of this one.  What are your "one of these days" Rics? The guitars you know you won't be getting SOON but you will get eventually? For me, I have a couple on the list. The most achievable for me is a modern home-brew 335 or 365 (if the time comes and I can get a 360 for a great deal, I will). I'd love to get a standard modern guitar and add an Accent vibrato and some Scatterwound Toasters. I would also love a double-bound 360 Rose-Morris type (a la Tom Petty), and two original 60s models, one 6-string and one 12. Also the 360/12c63, if I can find one that's neck will stay straight

Some of the originals did have issues with regard to the neck and body angle, due to the bass position pickup slot being cut to accommodate the long magnet pickup. That issue was addressed fairly quickly back then by switching to a short magnet pickup version and some guitars were repaired under warranty by putting a block on that slot to force the neck back into position. The modern 360/12C63 does not suffer from this problem as it not only uses a short magnet pickup, the internal bracing is considerably stiffer. It has no higher frequency of neck issues than any other 12-string guitar we make.

I own an 660/12 and a 350v63. The only thing I'd consider is a 4003s at this point if I wanted a third Ric. I have played just about all the rest and nothing really impresses me. Yes, they all LOOK gorgeous. But I want to play them. And they have their limitations, sorry to say. Plus I am a lead player, and a Ric isn't really going to win that battle. But I will say that they are proudly displayed in my home over the many other guitars I own.

One of these days...a 1993Plus in special Burgundyglo, but will take Ruby!
And if RIC is looking at the idea of a 1998Plus to have a 6 string version, I'm in !
