I see a little activity in the bass section about the 4003S builds. How 'bout a little love for us guitar players - anything you can share regarding the 1993PLUS builds?

Daves Guitar and Wildwood Guitars have them in stock in FireGlo as we speak. My brother has one on order from Daves in MapleGlo.

1993Plus in MapleGlo will arrive on Wednesday. Not mine, my brothers, but I can't wait to see it!

My brother just received his MapleGlo 1993Plus and it is everything we were hoping it would be. The wider neck makes all the difference in the world, and this guitar is just gorgeous and plays like a dream.
Was just wondering what gauge strings they use for this model. I would like to know the gauge of each individual string (low E to high E). Can anyone help ? Thanks.

Owner's manual, page 6

http://www.rickenbacker.com/pdfs/manual.pdf

Also, contrary to someone's recent assertion, the manual is constantly revised. It's been updated to include current information nine times in the last five years. Obviously that doesn't mean the manual in the case of a "new old stock" instrument is up to date, which is why all versions of the printed manual suggest you check the lastest version online.

Thank you very much for the info, just what I wanted to know. Also, thank you for coming out with this new 1993Plus model. It's exactly what I would have ordered if I was ordering a "Custom" build from Rickenbacker. And who says Tom Petty gets all the special treatment!! ;) Thanks again for a great new model!!
