I bought a 1980 360/12 last February which came without it's original hard case. I current use an acoustic guitar case for it but I'm looking for something more suited to the shape of the Guitar. Genuine Rickenbacker Guitar cases cost a small fortune where I live or to even order one on the internet.

Can anyone suggest a good alternative (if there is one).

Both SKB and Gator make generic cases in various sizes and surely have one that will fit. The SKB cases are US made and might be more than you wish to pay but many Gator cases are sourced from China and might be more affordable. Still, nothing but a fully custom case will fit the guitar as well and provide the most protection as compared to the factory case.

Thanks John. I would really like to get the correct vintage style case to reflect the Guitar's age. I may have to scrimp and save a bit longer. ;)

Well, the correct vintage case would be black Tolex and unfortunately we haven't produced that for a number of years. The current vintage style case replicates the earlier silver Tolex look.

G & G Quality Case might be able to help you out but it won't be inexpensive.
