If by, "meant to be," you mean all the way up to concert pitch, as opposed to having to down-tune as is required on many acoustic 12-string guitars, then great!

If you mean the conservative traditional arrangement of E & B in unison, and G, D, A and E in octaves, why limit yourself?

What I meant was standard tuning to concert pitch...It works for me.
