I received my guitar yesterday, very nice, but I'm having trouble discerning it from the current 360/12 model.

According to Andy Babiuk's book George Harrison's second ric had CB, this one has plain.

The Guitar Center tag also said high gain PUs, which may or may not be right.
Also nothing to id a limited run, except the registration card says GH

Can't tell if it has the inner cross-bracing,but it does have the vintage RIC Deluxe tuners and Toaster-top pickups.Sort of surprised it doesn't have checkered binding.Still,a collectible model.

I'm not sure what cross-bracing would look like, but from what I can tell it has a solid 2-2.5 inch piece of wood running down the center.

Guitar Center has been ordering some very cool guitars and basses from Rickenbacker! One detail they missed on these guitars was checkered binding.

I ended up returning the 360/12 GH, it was beautiful but not what I wanted for the price.
I ended up buying a 381/12v69. All I can say is WOW.
I also got the CB -- 2x

Too bad the 360/12 GH didn't work out,but now you've got a high end model.Plenty of checkered binding, toasters, and the thicker German carve body style. The 381 in Mapleglo is stunning.

If it is a re-issue of the GH model, it should have come with check binding!

Just checked the GC Platinum site, and this guitar does NOT have check binding. The model that George had DID have the checkerboard binding!!

"WOW" is right!

The 381 is the nicest guitar I've ever seen. You can play anything on it and it sounds like a dream, and it looks simply stunning!
