I've had a good experience with the recent purchase of a Korg headstock clip on tuner that uses one AA battery. |

The Peterson strobe clip is great and now my preferred "quick tune at home" tuner. I don't think I'd ever use it over a "plugged in" pedal / desktop tuner for set-up work, but for home practice it's great. I don't use it for rehearsals, gigs, because -- well who wants to be clipping things to their headstocks in public?! |

I have had a Peterson Strobe HD tuner for 3 years without any problems. However I lost the battery compartment lid - I think the wife vacuumed it up - anyway I wrote to Peterson and asked if I could buy a replacement just before Xmas. They answered my email a day later and said they would get one out to me as soon as possible. It arrived straight after New Years Day and no charge. That is brilliant service and I'm in the UK. I have just ordered a StroboStomp the pedal version because it is very visible and bright and obviously it has a direct connection so it should be even more accurate. Watch this space. |
