Just got this FRESH (build date 5/2012) 381V69 - what a wonderful instrument! Plays and sounds incredible.

While I had the camera set up, I also took a shot of all my Rics together:

Stunning guitar! I can only imagine how much nicer it must look in person! And that's a very nicely rounded out collection you have going there!

Yes, quite a good looking bunch you have. Wish I'd kept every one I ever owned, but there's still time to aquire a few more before I'm too old to play.

Yes - I'd been watching for some time, and jumped on this one the day after it showed up on their web site. I'm close enough to be able to go check things out in person, and checked out two Fireglo 381's they just got in. They were both nice, but this was the one. Great folks to work with at Wildwood, BTW - the 370/12 also came from them.

aha! i noted last week that ww rec'd 4 381s on the same day. (a record?) 2 fg and 2 blue.

a day or so later, one fg less on their website.

i live near ww, too, and bought a 330/12 and a 4003 there. i have a fg 381 from wilcutt.

imo, a fg 381 is the most beautiful guitar on the planet, bar none. regards, eljayski

Hey hlarry14: I think the other 381v69 is still available from Wildwood. Just wondering, what made you choose the one you did -- anything at all wrong about the one that's left?

Stunning collection! Yes probably true the 381 being the most beautiful guitar ever produced.
A fairly early Rickenbacker guitar which you can recognise that Rossmeisl hand played a big part in it's design. This design Rickenbacker always had the looks and with the 2 toasters sounds very good. Sure the case is industrial size but that's good for an expensive axe, the guitar itself is comfortable to play and hold.
