I have a Carl Wilson 12 in Fireglo. I know 250 of this model were made, but how many in Fireglo and how many in Jetglo? Is there any place to find this info? Were any MG or are they limited to the FG & JG colors? Perhaps Ben or the webmaster can steer me in the right direction to find out this info.

Best,

MMM

Hi Guys,

Ben or anyone, still wondering about colors.

This is all I can find about the guitar:

Rickenbacker® Model 360/12CW Carl Wilson Limited Edition

Similar to the model type 360 as produced in 1965. Offered both in six and twelve string versions, as Model 360CW and 360/12CW. Carl Wilson's signature reproduced on the upper pickguard.Checked body binding. Offered in Fireglo and Jetglo colors. Wood is specially charactered maple body with Rosewood fret board. Special thin top for increased acoustic performance Twenty-one fret neck with vintage inlays. Vintage style square heel. Two scatter wound vintage-style pickups with 7.4K ohm coils. Vintage reissue silver Tolex guitar case.
The Rickenbacker company is authorized to manufacture 500 of these classic instruments. Each guitar will be supplied with individually numbered certificates of authenticity.

Now, are there 500 total CW guitars or 500 6-string and 500 12-strings?

And on the color, how many in JG and how many in FG?

Since I own one of the FG 360-12 CW LE models, I am especially curious about the 12 string allocations.

Thank again!

MMM

Well I don't know all the answers but I believe there were 500 in total, 250 sixers and 250 twelves.

Fireglo and Jetglo only and many more FG than JG.

I have a 12 string in Fireglo, a magnificent guitar !

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

That was my understanding as well, that there wewre 250 6 and 250 12.

But how many were JetGlo and how many FG? I have seen these stats for the TP LE model but never the CW LE.

Help some one at RIC! Any idea of the color allocations for the CW LEs?

Best,

MMM

The stats have never been published. The total quantity is 500 units but it's certainly not split 50/50 between sixes and twelves. The preponderance of these were Fireglo's, there's a few Jetglo's, as there always are, and finally some lefties in all types.

Any chance the final numbers of the CW numbers will be published anytime in the near future, like the TP & JL Limited Editions were?

BTW, I know exactly where one of the lefty 360/12 CW's are. I'm looking at it right now.

I've got one of the FireGlo 6 strings. OK, that's one FG/12, one FG/12L, and one FG/6. Only 497 more to go...
JH,
It would be interesting to see the breakdown. Were the majority 12s or 6s?
