I'm not even sure if this question can be answered for various reasons. I cannot find out for myself as the nearest store selling Ric's is a 2 hour drive from here.
I'm building my own 12 string electric guitar (just an amateur home luthier) and I've heard that Ric 12 strings have two truss rods. Is this true? And if so, do they control different aspects of the neck bow? i.e. one controls upbow and the other back bow? Is it merely two single action truss rods used for the extra tension exerted on the neck?
I've done google searches and have come up with nothing. Thanks for any help you all can provide.

Click on "Service" above, then take a look a the Ric Owner's Manual (in .pdf format). You'll get some good ideas.

TWO truss rods have been used on Ricks for a long time. As far as I know, the older 'bobby pin' type was discontinued sometime in the late 70's to mid 80's, being replaced by conventional type rods.
The NICE feature of having 2 rods, is that you can counter a moderate twist out of the neck without warming and clamping . . .
