Hello,

I recently purchased an Al Cisneros 4003 bass.
I saw Al playing his signature model in C standard with Sleep and I am wondering how his guitar tech (or himself) managed to install heavier string gauges on the new Tailpiece/Bridge?

I used to have a regular 4003 in C standard with a 125/95/70/50 set that worked pretty well. However, I had to fill the nut slots and the bridge saddles to accommodate the strings.

I don't see how it can be done with the new bridge design. The strings sit on rotative barrels and I don't think it can be filled.

Any clue about that?

Thanks
