That wouldn't have been a Bantar, they did not have bound headstocks... Most likely it was a Banjoline.

And what was that 1955, 1956? We did custom instruments well into the 1980's as well, when we didn't have people waiting a year for a bread and butter guitar.

Hey John - I appreciate what you are saying, but I would NEVER describe your guitars as "bread & butter" !!
