Delicate and tasteful compression, like a Keely pedal or a Carl Martin, can do wonders for that chimey/sustain thing. Cheap and brutish compression is worse than no compression, IMHO.

HEY,

change or have those ceramic pups of Your classic LP changed for example Gibson ´57 classics or Lindy Fralin´s ... another beast You will have. at least change that bridge 500T. the neck 496R is not so bad. Anyway Your classic is way worth more You feel it right now.

A Gibson LP should be a outstanding piece of instrument among the others!
