I have a 660/12 dating back to 1988 if my serial number dating procedure was accurate. The guitar is in beautiful condition and I play it frequently but I'm having difficulty keeping it in tune, the tuners seem loose to me. Any suggestions for how to tighten things up?
Thanks
Michael

Make sure you have fresh strings, the correct amount of leader so the string winds evenly around the tuner post, that you have everything well seated and the witness points set, and that you always come up to pitch when tuning instead of going down to pitch, which results in backlash of the tuners.

My 360-12 has the old Klusons which are notorious for slipping. But when being careful as I describe, I have no issues with tuning or stability.
