Post subject:  456/12 out of the closet

Back in the early 80's, I was looking for an electric 12 string, to be different than Dad and his 6 string Gretsch. I didn't know enough to be looking for anything specific, just knew I liked the sound of a 12'er and decided to step up. I found one in the Dandy Dime sale paper, checked it out and loved the sound and feel, so bought it.
Life got in the way shortly after that....kids, career, etc, and I just didn't make time to continue with the guitar, so put it in the back of the closet.
This last August Dad passed away. In helping my sibs clear out the house, we came across Dads old Gretsch. Sibs said Dad and I played together, I should have his guitar. I bring it home, tell my wife the story. She says "don't you have a guitar stashed in the closet?" We have moved 4 times in the 30 years, 2 different states, and I just moved it from closet to closet, never opening it up. Last month I finally open up the case and find I have a Rickenbacker 456/12 Fireglow, manufactured in 1967. I don't find any specific information about this on the RIC website, so I'm hoping I can glean some information from ya'll. I would also appreciate a recommendation of a guitar repair shop in the San Antonio, TX area that can repair it for me-bowed neck, etc.
