I would love to see a sixties styled 360 series return under the vintage heading. 21 frets, checkered binding, full size shark fin fret marking, and vintage hardware (Klusons / Toasters). I love my '90 360/12, but just the little details make the vintage ones so darn cool.

I would agree...it's the small details the really define the tone and shape of the "rickenbacker sound"

A LOT of bass players would like to see is the same treatment applied to a 4000 series bass! It's often hypothetically referred to as a 4001V68.

Esthetics are one of the reasons I gravitated towards Rickenbackers in the first place--towards ANY product, really. With Rickenbackers, I think some of the finer points have been glossed over on the newer instruments for the sake of ease of production. In no way am I saying that the newer Rickenbackers lack ANY of the the quality of the older instruments. I would, in fact, argue that quality is better than ever. I just think that models should be offered that appeal to the vintage crowd that are willing to pay for details. Fanatics notice these sorts of things, you know!

I, too, would love to see those features on a Ric 360 reissue and a 4001 reissue. I own several 4003's w/ VP's and several C-series 4001 basses but I still need a deluxe 4001 w/ checkered binding and full inlays.

I would like to see a 4003S model offered even if it were only in Fireglo.

That late 50's 360F with front, back, soundhole and neck binding with full triangular inlays and the traditional shape control plate/pickguard with or without a Bigsby would be one HOTTT country or jazz guitar, especially with gold hardware. I think it could be the first non-Beatles/ McGuinn influenced Rickenbacker guitar to make a real impression. I think it's styling is timeless and could be a very popular model if they were somewhat available within a realistic timeframe and price. I LIKE IT ! ! !

Aah... the single life... 31 guitars/basses/mandos here with another on order and saving up for the next...

;-)

And as I've said before, the next purchase is going to be a new hollow-body, so I'm hoping for Jazzbo/391 or 330F/360F reissues to fill that spot in my lineup. And I should be ready to buy right around Winter NAMM time! woohoo!
