On an always relevant note: I'd get your orders in now folx because should Rickenbacker licensed controllers hit the shelves, the backlog will be beyond belief. I waited my 2 1/2 years for my virgin 360 FG so I can relate. My 12 string order goes in next week!

From Boomers to Gen X'ers, when our kidlets and grand-kidlets pick up their first intro to the modern world of air guitar here's hoping the first thing they ask for on their next Christmas is an actual Rickenbacker!

Wonder if there's an auto factory in Santa Ana you folx could retool? Bet they'd give it away ... call it the magical musical stimulus package :)

Cheers and good stuff!

I've heard a rumor that the Beatles' Rock Band game will have one other significant difference. In the standard version, the game makes those awful discordant sounds when you start playing badly.

In the new version, Paul starts to yell at you when you screw up, especially if you're the George character.

Where would the controllers be made?

Mr.Hall,
I'm curious if you were approached at all for this project and had any input of any kind as the info text boasts..

"......a set of new hardware "modeled after instruments used by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison......" "

so obviously Rickenbackers must be in there in a big way.

It's going to be a wonderful summer this year. Er, make that fall, I guess.

Oh Mr. Hall, you're SO cryptic!! :-)

However I'll take your answer as a big yes!

Ha, gotta love Mr Hall's tight-lipped reaction - just enough info to get our curiosity piqued, and if asked again, repeat same answer.

Not that I play these guitar games, but I think it's great news and congratulate RIC if, from what I assume, they are involved in this deal (via licensing or other means) and Rickenbacker gets some fresh, well-deserved recognition.

Robbo63, I've got to agree with you on that. Rickenbacker should be recognized for it's contributions to the Beatles sound. Mark

With the obvious aside. I do like what the "Rock Band" video games has done. My nephew loves Rock Band and it inspired him and his buddies to puck up real guitars and learn real rock. It in my humble opinion has put a well needed spark into guitar rock no matter what genre it is. I am excited that it may help the younger ones to recognize and become familiar with the most important group of musicians of the pop music era.
